Staplehurst Rainbows join Remembrance Parade

Our Rainbows joined in for their second time with the Remembrance parade.  Onlookers may have noticed that our flag was different from others in the parade.

Our Unit’s brand-new flag was dressed with ribbons, carried furled and then presented at the church to be blessed and unfurled for the first time. It was a unique moment for our older Rainbows to be a part of and they managed their roles wonderfully despite some nerves. Well done, Edith, Lara, and Primrose.

Our meeting following on from this looked at code breaking, which was a significant role during the wars, particularly World War II, and we had some fun trying to send messages with our faces.

We have ended the year with our much-loved Christmas crafts, including sewing, making pinecone trees and a final party meeting.  Many thanks to Shelley for organising the food.  We wish all of our families, volunteers and supporters a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We look forward to many more adventures.
