Weavering District have recently adopted a little Shaun as part of the “Shaun the Sheep in the Heart of Kent Art Trail 2024”, helping to raise money for the Heart of Kent Hospice.
We held an event on Saturday 24th February and combined Thinking Day with Shaun the Sheep for all sections. A fun day was had by all and there were a lot of sheep themed activities from sheep money boxes, sheep planters to sheep cushions all fantastically decorated by the girls.
The most exciting part was meeting our little Shaun and decorating him in true Girlguiding style – each section had a colour and a segment of Shaun and then all the girls, young leaders and leaders decorated him with fingerprints! There were 140 of us in total !! We are all looking forward to seeing the finished product and searching for him on the trail later in the year.
