Back in June, Allington Trefoil Guild were meant to walk the London Bridges together with 4,000 Girlguiding LaSER members, but unfortunately it was cancelled, but that didn’t stop us planning our own London Bridges Walk for 2017.
On a grey day in November, ten of us made our way into London to walk from Tower Bridge to Westminster Bridge. We started the day in All Hallows Church restaurant with a hearty breakfast of bacon sandwiches and coffee, before setting off on our 8.5 mile walk along the river, which included zigzagging over the 8 historic bridges on route.
The walk was a great opportunity for us to get outdoors and to explore a little part of London. We saw many of the famous landmarks, the Shard, the Tower of London, HMS Belfast, St Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament, but the highlight had to be meeting Paddington Bear!
