LaSER Ambassadors Reception at Museum of London

In November, Sophie Cantwell-Kelly and Hattie Barker accompanied me to the Girlguiding Ambassadors Reception at the Terrace Gallery in the Museum of London. County Commissioners were invited to take two 14-30-year-old girls to the reception.

The Ambassadors were introduced to us by Sally Christmas, our Region Chief Commissioner. There were 9 of the 12 new Ambassadors, who support volunteers and inspire girls in Units by sharing their expertise and making sure we give all girls the chance to be a powerful force for good.

Sally Kettle continued the introductions. She is a professional adventurer, the first woman to row the Atlantic Ocean twice from East to West. Helen Shreeve worked at the BBC and founded BBC News School Report.

All the other Ambassadors were equally inspiring, and Sophie was asked by Region to interview them and discover more about their lives and hopes for the future. She handled the job confidently and professionally, well done Sophie!

We all enjoyed the evening and thank you to Region for giving us the opportunity to meet these amazing ladies.

If you would like to meet them, please do look on the Region website for more information on how to invite them to meet your girls.
