Helping to walk 75 miles around London

Seven of our local Kent Weald Walkers joined the London Walkers and Talkers Trefoil Guild for their final 5-mile leg of the Capital Ring Walk as they complete the 75-mile circular walk around London, which they started in April 2017.

We started our walk at Ravensbourne Train Station and one of The Trefoil Ladies lead each of the small groups finishing at Crystal Palace. The weather was warm and sunny, and the day was a -maze -ing!! After we had finished our walk, we had our picnic in the sun by the Centenary Maze. Crystal Palace is the birthplace of Girlguiding and the maze celebrates 100 years of Girlguiding. We did eventually find the middle of the maze after a few wrong turns but lots of laughs. The centre of the maze was beautiful and well worth searching for.

It was so lovely meet up with Trefoil Guild Ladies and other such lovely ladies recognise some familiar faces and to help them celebrate with them completing their Capital Ring Walk. Well done and congratulations!

We rewarded ourselves with a very refreshing ice cream at Crystal Palace as a treat after our walk. If you would like us at our next walk then please let Sue Morris know or if you have some favourite walks you would love to share with us then we would love to see you. Our next walks are on 11th August and 15th September and usually monthly.
