1st Loose Brownies make up Christmas boxes for the homeless

After a discussion with the Brownies, they asked to do something at Christmas for the people in our community. We suggested people who had been made homeless. We discussed what being homeless would be like, why people might become homeless and what kind of things these people might need. The Brownies brought in shoe boxes, which they decorated and a variety of items such as tooth paste, shampoo, and gloves to fill them. Some had even used their own pocket money to purchase items. They also made labels for the boxes with words such as “I hope life will be better for you soon”.

The girls made 21 boxes which were delivered to Maidstone Day Centre, Knightrider Street.
